WALLY RIPPER
   managing director

Managing Director, Wally Ripper, brings 20 years of experience in Information Technology to the company and also considerable business and entrepreneurial skills. Wally has successfully established several businesses including Zena Financial Services which was subsequently bought by National Bank and renamed Apogee Financial Planning. Wally also pioneered Australia’s leading Life Insurance portal Insurance Watch providing information, quotes and electronic applications for all leading life insurers in Australia.

Wally was selected by the Victorian Government in 2002 to attend a Venture Capital Access course (VCAP) at the University of California Berkley designed to assist Australian businesses to Internationalise their products. This initiative was implemented by John Brumby.

Following the VCAP experience, Wally was able to create new opportunites for Insfin offshore including consulting services for The World Bank – IFC. In this role Insfin has consulted to various organizations in developing countries world wide including China.

In 2007 Insfin was awarded a place on the Whole of Victorian Government eServices Purchasing Panel.

Wally's team has been working on a new solution “INTOUCH” to increase the distribution of financial services products. This infrastructure will also be used to improve the efficiency of health professionals.

Wally is also a consultant to The World Bank – IFC on SME lending technologies.

WAYNE LOTHERINGTON
   director, marketing and communications

Wayne is an experienced communications professional who has developed his skills over many years in education and advertising in Australia and Asia. As a skilled facilitator, a published author and speaker, businesses all over the world have benefited from his energetic and creative approach.

Wayne holds degrees in Economics, Education, an MBA and a PhD in business creativity.

HARRY PIETERSE
   director, research and operations

Harry Pieterse brings 25 years of banking experience and 20 years of insurance and financial services experience to bear in his role as overseer of research and operations.

After working with National Australia Bank, Harry became a founding director of Zena Financial Services along with Walter Ripper. When Zena was sold, Harry went on to become research and administration manager at Lend Lease Financial Planning prior to the sale to the National Bank.

Harry is responsible for the accuracy of the insurance research and content used in all of Insfin’s eCommerce applications and he also oversees the administration of the company’s operations.
